Notes: This is a 97mm bored and Apticote 2000 plated OEM Yamaha cylinder. By keeping the bore just 2mm over stock this kit remains totally reliable and still provides a good performance improvement. It is an excellent value for the money. It is a good choice where you need to rebuild the engine and want to bump the power but only have limited funds.
Max Power's Apticote 2000 ceramic bore coating is the best available and Max Power's plating craftsmanship far surpasses the quality of anything else out there. (Just ask builders like Pro Circuit, Duncan Racing, ATP, Rossier Engineering, CT Racing or any of the factory teams- We plate cylinders for all of them.)
We offer this as a kit with either a Wiseco or CP piston in various compression ratios. If you are looking to use your own piston we also can bore and replate your cylinder with Apticote 2000 for $300. This is the largest bore on an OEM cylinder that you should use a stroker crankshaft with.
